Safe schools

for every child

Protecting every student at school together

About the program

Schools and nurseries are among the most important places in a child's life — and one of the first places where signs of harm may be. Dama Al-Aman in Schools and Nurseries is Abu Dhabi's system-wide approach to ensuring every educational setting a place of safety, protection, and care.

Working with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), the program equips school leaders, teachers, and all staff with the knowledge and tools to identify, respond to, and report concerns of child maltreatment. It also supports schools in teaching children about their rights and safety — giving them the language, confidence, and trusted adults they need to speak up.
